What should I present when boarding?
Present a valid ID that matches the name on the ticket at check-in. Passengers must check in at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure.
Can I transfer my ticket to another person?
No. OceanJet tickets are non-transferable. The name on the ticket must match the valid ID presented at check-in.
Can I get a refund if I miss my trip?
If the ticket hasn’t been checked in, it can still be refunded (if refundable), subject to a 40% surcharge. You’ll need the ticket and a valid ID to process the refund.
Can I get a refund if the voyage is cancelled?
If OceanJet cancels the voyage, you’ll get a full refund of the ticket value. OceanJet may instead take you to your destination by other reasonable means. If you cancel a normal voyage yourself, a full refund isn’t available and OceanJet charges a surcharge.
How much is refunded for a returned ticket?
- Not checked in, vessel hasn’t departed: 80% of the ticket value
- Not checked in, vessel has departed: 60% of the ticket value
- Checked in, vessel hasn’t departed: 50% of the ticket value
When is a refund not possible?
- The ticket is lost.
- The ticket was bought on promotion or at a discount.
- The passenger checked in but didn’t board.
How much hand-carry baggage can I bring?
One piece per passenger, up to 15 kg and no larger than 25 × 35 × 40 cm. Keep valuables in your hand-carry.
How long can I claim my baggage?
Unclaimed baggage stays with OceanJet for 30 days. After that, it is disposed of.
Can I board if I’m sick?
Passengers with a contagious disease won’t be allowed to board. Passengers with minor ailments must present a medical clearance from a physician.
Can pregnant passengers board?
Passengers up to 28 weeks (7 months) pregnant must sign a waiver of liability. Those 4 to 7 months pregnant must also present a medical certificate saying they’re fit for sea travel. Passengers past 7 months may be refused boarding.
Can I bring plants, fish or vegetables?
Yes, if they’re properly packed and sealed and you present a Quarantine Permit.
I’m carrying a firearm
Turn it over to the vessel captain and head of security before boarding. You can claim it when the vessel arrives at your destination.
Can I bring my pet?
Pets aren’t allowed in passenger areas. They travel in the baggage area and must be:
- Secured in a travel crate
- Covered by a Quarantine Permit from the Bureau of Quarantine
